Sam and I decided to take the downstairs large bedroom as the master. Unfortunately every wall has doors or windows which make for an awkward backdrop and orientation.
Our solution came from my wise and talented mom. We are going to build a partial wall to act as a new smooth back drop for the bed and side tables. Something like this:
